RESDO IMPACT
Food Security and Livelihood Sector
I
Sustainable coordination and networking:
RESDO defines sustainability as consistently supporting target com- munities both during and after humanitarian emergencies. To network and coordinate effectively, RESDO works with humanitarian networks, partners, relevant government structures and local com- munities.
II
Technical and financial sustainability:
To ensure its projects are technically and financially sustainable, RESDO establishes groups and committees among the target populations in order to manage and control results.
These groups and committees often include members from target populations, which empowers them and promotes ownership of the project or program they are managing.
III
Community participation:
No project can be truly successful without the input, insight, and involvement of target communities. RESDO always consults with local communities to ensure that their involvement is continuous throughout the life of the project.
RESDO encourages and motivates varying degrees of contributions from different stake- holders in the project life cycle. In connection with this, RESDO makes use of existing com- munity structures.
